( Times will vary due to types of paint, thickness and surface materials.) * GEL * 2.) Within a pan, container or on a protected surface area, apply the contents to the desired area or the entire peice. 3.) Allow item to set for at least 20 minutes. (10 if only a decal.) 4.) Using an appropriate brush, ( Our Chameleon Stripping Brushes are tested and recommended. ) gently scrub the paint or coating from your project surface. 5.) When your item is stripped to your satisfaction, rinse the object under warm tap water to remove all residue and paint fragments. ( A thorough cleaning is recommended for optimum surface preparation before repainting. Although optional, our CHAMELEON, Model Wash, Cleaner/de-greaser is the perfect compliment for this task. 6.) Re-finish when dry. It's that simple!

"I recently purchased a bottle of your Chameleon paint removal liquid at a hobby store in Sandy Utah. I was very wary, as I'v had so many paint removers wreak havoc upon the toys that I customize. But lo and behold, the Gods must have been smiling upon me that day, because not only does your product NOT eat ABS plastic alive, it also removes paint with extreme ease. I love it! It's a dream come true. Saves me a ton of work. Thanks for making this stuff! You have a life long customer. I'll be recommending your product on www.macrossworld.com, there's a ton of people on there who would love this stuff as much as I do!
Thanks again!"

"Tip" *Our "Stripping Kit" comes in a container that is ideal for most model stripping projects. Air-tight and leak-proof, they allow the stripper to remain concentrated and pure. Un-covered pans or bowls permit evaporation which can weaken the strippers potency. |

(Q.) Is Chameleon stripper safe on Kato plastics???
(A.) Absolutely. Although Kato plastics are considerably more delicate than most conventional model plastics, Chameleon has held steadfast in its guarantee to be completely plastic safe. EVEN ON KATO!
"I stripped a Kato NW-2 factory painted shell in one hour, very cleanly! YES, It's Kato compatable!"
Michael S. Long Island, NY

 |
| IT EVEN STRIPS OFF FACTORY CHROME! Yet remains safe on clear windshields, light jewels and delicate parts such as handrails, couplers, and custom add-ons! |

"Tip" For really stubborn paints, Warm the stripping solution. Place the bottle in a sink of hot tap water for 5 to 10 minutes. Re-try! |
Chameleon:
"This is the best stuff I've ever seen! I bought a bottleat my hobby shop several years ago and opened it for the first time last year. It worked perfectly. At that time, I stripped 10 HO scale model railroad boxcars I poured the solution back into the bottle. Last Monday evening, I openrd up the bottle again and stripped 12 more railcars. It worked perfectly again, just as if it were brand new!
I have 400 to 500 railcars and locomotivesI need to strip and repaint, ( I bought out a consignment collection...). My son is also a model railroader and he has 100 +/- railcars and locomotives he needs to strip. We are looking to set up an assembly line to get this task completed.
My question is this: can I purchase Chameleon Paint Stripper in larger containers than the 16 oz. bottles? I'd like to buy four gallons for my assembly line and if I have to buy them in the 16oz. size, that's 32 bottles! I'll do that if I have to because I believe in the product that much!
Thank you! You have a great product! and by the way, I would not have purchased this collection of railcars had it not been for Chameleoen Paint Stripper!
Thank you!"

(Q.) Is Chameleon safe on my antique plastic or resin body trains and models?
(A.) YES! But we do recommend, If your dealing with antiques, or if your not sure of the plastic composition of your train or model, to use the "GEL FORMULA" Model stripper. Although the gel works on all modern surfaces, it was specially created for use on older, more delicate plastics. |
